DESCRIPTION:
English, large ornate wheel barometer (mercury tube), thermometer and hygrometer, in a carved wooden case flanked by mermaids, with gesso coating and dark finish, c1875
CONDITION:
the tube is filled with mercury but has some bubbles. All three indicators are functioning. There are minor flakes to the gesso on figures. Thermometer is intact. The tube retains its mercury so is heavy and fragile and must be transported in a vertical position; no parcel shipping. Ht 48"
